Chicago Blues in Maplewood

On Saturday, June 25, Pickett’s Village Bar will host an evening of Chicago Blues, featuring award-winning artists Mud Morganfield (son of Muddy Waters), Diunna Greenleaf, Bob Corritore, Dr. David Evans, and legendary veteran of Muddy Waters’ band, Steady Rollin’ Bob Margolin.
Popmatters just named Mr.Corritore and Ms. Greenleaf to their list of “12 Essential Blues Artists.” Greenleaf, the magazine notes, “performs blues steeped in the gospel music she grew up with…influences also include Koko Taylor, Aretha Franklin, and Sam Cooke.”
