Curtis Winchester & Friends

Curtis Winchester & Friends is a band that performs many different styles of music, including Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Jazz, Pop, Rock and Reggae. Curtis is a natural-born performer with a 10,000-kilowatt smile and a stage presence you just can’t deny. His main influences include Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Nat “King” Cole, Stevie Wonder, and perhaps his most significant influence is Robert Cray. Curtis performs with his band consisting of local musicians he has worked with throughout the years. He has freelanced over the years and has lent his frontman/lead singer abilities to several local bands, including when he was the main vocalist for Grammy Nominated guitarist Gil Parris and his band, performing regularly around the region and opening for other music greats. He and Gil continue a high-octane open-jam night that draws local and regional artists such as Bernie Williams, Joe Louis Walker and even LL Cool J!.
