New York-based guitarist and composer Nelson Riveros brings his Latin Jazz group to Pickett’s Village Bar. His latest recording, “The Latin Side of Wes Montgomery” on ZOHO Music, reached #2 on Jazz Week and was the #7 most played Jazz CD of the top 100 in the US in 2021. Nelson took several of Wes Montgomery’s compositions and arranged them in different Latin and Caribbean rhythms to create a fresh new take on it. His group will be performing music from the new recording as well as original music. Band features Oscar Perez- keys, Andy McKee- bass, TBD – drums.
