BE FESTIVE, BE MERRY, BE OF GOOD CHEER
Especially when you consider the exceptionally low bar of the 2020 holiday season, we have so much to revel in this year. We hope our friends and neighbors who celebrate had a wonderful Hanukkah. The Christmas crowd is gearing up and we’re all marching together toward the bright light that marks the end of this year and the start of something new in 2022.
We’re off to a magnificent start. Pickett’s was honored to play host on Monday this week to an auspicious occasion for our community to commemorate our new Fire Chief and Captain. Congratulations to Joe Alvarez, Maplewood’s new Fire Chief, and Steve Cassiello, who takes on the role of Captain. We are grateful for all that they, and the rest of our fire department, do to keep us out of harm’s way. Thank you and Godspeed, Fire Chief Alvarez and Captain Cassiello!
Something to keep in mind. While Pickett’s Upstairs can seat 100 for dinner, if you host an event on Monday or Tuesday when the restaurant is closed, we can accommodate up to 200 people. If you’re a hale and hearty type, or at least willing to channel your inner Scandinavian, we can also welcome you and your 100+ closest friends outside.
Also: we have gift cards and tee shirts for last-minute gifts and stocking stuffers. A growler and a gift card for a long winter’s worth of refills is always welcome under the tree or as a gift for the hostess or host who has everything. And stay tuned — Pickett’s will be setting up its shop online, so new merch news coming soon!
