It’s On: Official Start Of Summer and Months Of Outdoor Fun at Pickett’s

Featuring Eat My Balls for FTF, with Music by Todd Cobbs Duo 6/25, Marc Ferrante’s Bossa 5 6/26

Small Business Spotlight: Massimo Italian Deli; North Jersey Pride Event 6/29

Summer 2021 is off to a roaring start, and we couldn’t be happier to be reunited with friends and family under the stars at Pickett’s. This week marks the Columbia High School prom and graduation. Cheers to a 2021/22 school year that has everybody back in the classrooms, on the fields, in the gymnasiums and on stage. Enjoying the post-vaccine sense of normalcy while recognizing the need to remain thoughtful and aware.

The winkingly named Eat My Balls is our featured food truck this Friday (6/25), and our musical guest is Todd Cobbs Duo. You may remember Eat My Balls from its FTF appearance last summer. Eat My Balls offers delicious Sicilian style Arancini with a range of fillings, from The Soprano, with sweet and spicy Italian sausage, peppers and onions, to Great Balls of Fire, featuring shredded chicken tossed with flaming Buffalo sauce and That’s Amore, with marinara, mozzarella and oregano. Every one of them pairs perfectly with a $5 draft from the tap trailer. Keeping with the new tradition of Saturday live music, this week we have the sweet sounds of Marc Ferrante’s Bossa 5. As always, if you know you’re going to want a table, please make a reservation through the link on our website.

Our small business spotlight this week is off the beaten path and worth the detour! If you’ve enjoyed our Tuscan bar pie or paella, you’ve already experienced the fennel sausage from Massimo Italian Deli in Kenilworth. Our GM Nick knew he wanted a top-notch sausage for our menu and he knew exactly where to find it. Run by Joe Cantatore and his brother-in-law Nick Altamura, this family-owned business offers a wide range of artisanal products ranging from cured meats, fresh pasta, homemade mozzarella and sharp provolone. Massimo Italian Deli reflects the family’s Pugliese roots and continues the traditions of generations past in terms of the love and care goes into what they make. They also offer frozen meals to take home and catering.  Check them out online or swing by to say hello to Joe and Nick in person.
